Morale In Kitchen Management

One of the things most people don't think about in regards to kitchen management is the kitchen morale. Cooking classes offering kitchen management courses may talk in depth about firing procedures and safety tips but they should also offer some tips on how to keep the morale in the kitchen high. Some head chefs rely heavily on giving pressure to their chefs in order to get them to perform, but not every chef is the same. One may not run as efficiently with the same amount of pressure given to someone else. Kitchen morale and being supportive as well as explaining what you need effectively is a skill needed to be learned by many head chefs. Kitchen management classes like those offered along with cooking classes in NYC should offer additional help on how to keep the morale of the kitchen up so that the kitchen runs smoothly.
